Beaumont Parks U18s Youth team cruised past Kirby Muxloe U18s in the county cup with a convincing display. On paper this should have been a comfortable game for the Midland floodlit League side and it proved to be the case. From start to finish Beaumont Park dominated the game in both halves going in at half time 8-0 up and then adding 11 more goals to win 19-0. Goals came from Danny x2 Pat x 3. Dave x3 . Marley x 3 . Tobi x1 Matty x 4
Nathan x1, own goalx1, Mo x1. Altho Kirby Muxloe were under so much pressure their players attitude was superb, they continued to try and play football and never showed a sign of giving up. Kirby Muxloe side was obviously a very young side and just being introduced to this level of football which will hopefully stand them in good stead for the future.
The only disappointing part of what was a very wet evening was comments made by a member of their Kirby Muxloes board about his own players who had come down to watch
the game. Maybe a reminder that player development takes a lot of time and open critisism of those players that gave everything at the match certainly does not help. And the comments and language used really will not go towards helping these young men move forward and aspire to play in first team football. On the evening and a quick reminder, the kirby Muxloe team played one of the best team in the midlands so being so critical of the players really is not justified. Of course Beaumont Park in no way would normally comment on other clubs philosophy but this we felt was very disrespectful to both their management and the players on the night.
Good luck to Kirby Muxloe for the rest of the season
