**UPDATED FUNERAL DETAILS AVAILABLE*** Barry Bryant, great clubman and friend has sadly died after a period of ill health

It is with great sadness that we report great Beccehamian clubman, former U18s coach, Vice President, friend and gentleman, Barry Bryant has died after a period of ill health on 27 November 2023.

***UPDATE FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS (@08/12/2023)***
Funeral Committal and Reception (@ Beccs) on Friday 12 January 2024, we are sure that Baz would have been delighted to see a plethora of Beccs colours, so club blazers/ties are encouraged and would be a nice touch. All arrangements and details can be found here:https://www.dignityfunerals.co.uk/funeral-notices/27-11-2023-barry-charles-bryant/

Our collective heartfelt and sincere condolences to Jacqui, Matt and Lucy.

“Barry Bryant, but known to all as "Baz", the best import that Australia has ever sent to the UK.
Baz was full committed to Beccehamians initially with the mini section with his son Mathew and progressed through the junior teams and culminating in managing the most successful Colts season that The Club has seen.
In this season the team not only won every game but won the Kent Cup (1989) for the first and only time in Beccs history, what an achievement!!!
Baz was a staunch supporter of the Club both home and away travelling with the "Saga" group of senior chums.
Sadly Baz suffered from cancer and dementia in the last few years but still managed to attend selected lunches and games and was always the centre of attention when he was present.
Baz was a true gentleman and was loved and respected by all those who were lucky enough to know him.
God bless you "mate"
Ken Ellis x
