Beccs are delighted to announce that Robbie Broadhurst & Andy Munro have been shortlisted by the Kent RFU Volunteer Awards for Season 2016-17.

Beccs are very proud and delighted to announce that both Robbie Broadhurst and Andy Munro have both been shortlisted by the Kent RFU Volunteer Awards for Season 2016-17.

Robbie has been shortlisted for "Women’s Rugby volunteer of the year" having led the team from 2013, and to the league champions in 2014/2015, the squad numbers have risen over the years, and the Ladies hosted a very successful "pitch up & play" session in October 2016 attracting over 30 brand new players. This all after Robbie had already spent 12 years leading his own mini and junior age group from U7-U18 until 2012 !

Andy has been shortlisted for "Junior Rugby Volunteer of the Year" having jointly led his age group from U7s to U18s, enjoying overseeing the transition of 17 of the age group to now regularly playing senior rugby for the club. On top of this Andy has been junior fixtures secretary for 6 years to date, and prior to that, minis fixtures secretary for 2 years.

Kent Rugby are hosting an event to celebrate the achievements of volunteers and the final three nominees for each category will be attending The Old Brewery Store in Faversham on Wednesday 7 June 2017, where the winners will be announced.

We wish Robbie and Andy the very best on the evening, to be on a shortlist of 3 in each category, with Kent being the largest mini and youth playing county in the country, is some achievement in itself, and richly deserved recognition for all their efforts.

This is the second successive year that Beccs have had our valued members and volunteers shortlisted by the Kent RFU in recognition of their contribution. Anthony Kempster shortlisted for Mini Rugby Volunteer of the Year for 2015/2016.

Good luck.
