Rob was chosen by the active Vice Presidents and Past Presidents to succeed our beloved Clive Putner who passed away earlier this year, so clearly a tough act to follow but absolutely the right person for the role.

Rob will undertake his Presidential duties for the next three years at which time he will either continue for another three years or a new President will be introduced. Being a member of the club for over 50 years since his schoolboy days, Rob knows the club and its members better than all of us and will make a great President.

He has been involved in many capacities including mini rugby, junior rugby, girls and ladies rugby, membership secretary, Youth Chairman, and is one of the Club's four directors. He has been on our executive management team for many years and contributes greatly to the club with his enthusiasm and passion for Beccehamian RFC.

At the AGM Rob's appointment was extremely well received and this created a great deal of excitement and ended weeks of speculation as to who the next President would be.

We all wish Rob every success in his new role as we look forward to a great year ahead of us with the new 21st century clubhouse build now well under way.
