Club Update - 14th March

Club Update - 14th March

James Smiles14 Mar - 15:58

All the latest from the Eyrie.

The Eagles have today completed the signing of Tarrelle Whittaker. Tarrelle is a 22 year old striker or midfielder, and joins Town from Enfield Town. He has previously been with St Albans City, Wealdstone, Hemel Hempstead and Swansea City as a youth player. Tarrelle has been signed in time for tomorrow's game at Redditch United.

It is that time of year where we head to league registration deadline. The Southern League have confirmed that clubs have until 5pm on Thursday 27th March to get players signed. The squad has been settled over the last month, but there is always the chance to bring that extra quality in and Lee is always reviewing what his options are.

A reminder to all that tomorrow's game at Redditch United is FREE entry to all. The car park at Redditch United will be unavailable, so it is advised supporters arrive early to ensure parking in a safe place, albeit maybe a walk from the ground. To avoid this, you can travel with the Supporters Club who are running a coach to this fixture. The departure times are as follows:

10:15am from the Tescos at Pilgrims Progress in town.
10:30am from the Eyrie
10:45am from the Maypole roundabout in Kempston.

To book your place, please contact the Edmunds on 01234 381213 or email bedfordeagles.sc@outlook.com

In other fixture news, the club have been in discussions with Hitchin Town surrounding our fixture at Top Field on Easter Monday. At present, the game is not an all ticket. However, a large crowd is expected and as a result, it is strongly advised that supporters purchase their tickets in advance. Should the attendance be large in advance, there is a chance of no tickets being available on the day. As in previous years with our visits to Hitchin, Eagles supporters are able to purchase their tickets through the Bedford Town box office. Just click the link here, and select the Hitchin Town away fixture.

After tomorrow, we have four home games in five weeks at the Eyrie to finish the season. A reminder to all that tickets for all games are on sale now, in what promises to be an end to the season to remember. Corporate lunches and hospitality are also available to purchase online, or by contacting Chloe at the club.

For those looking for some midweek football, the Bedfordshire FA senior trophy final between Caldecote and Stotfold Reserves takes place at the Eyrie on Tuesday 25th March. Kick off is 7:30pm.

Finally, the club won the PST Southern League Premier Division Central team of the month award for February. This is the second time we have won the award this season. Well done to Lee and all the lads for their fantastic effort to achieve this again!
