Bedford Town Football Club can confirm that two players from our youth development have registered Southern League forms for the coming season. Having impressed in preseason, Josh Page and Stanley Ayre have been called up to Mark Ducket's squad for the coming campaign. Both players are still only 16 years old, and will remain part of our youth set up as they continue to learn the game.

Stanley will be available for our Emirates FA Cup tie at Daventry Town on Saturday. However, Page is unable to be involved whilst issues surrounding international clearance are resolved. He will join up with the match day squad, as soon as his clearances are granted.

Speaking to www.bedfordeagles.net, manager Mark Ducket said "Both Josh and Stan have impressed throughout preseason. They've played against some good sides and not looked out of place in our sides so far. They still have a long way to go with their learning of the game, however, being part of our first team squad will benefit them enormously going forward."
