The Eagles travel down to Holloways Park to face Beaconsfield Town for the first friendly of pre-season. Since promotion in May, Lee Bircham and his team have been busy preparing for the season ahead and bringing in and retaining players.

So far, the Eagles have announced that Leon Lobjoit, Lewis Green, Ryan Blake, Carl Mensah, Kyle Connolly and Henry Dudley have all been retained by the club for the upcoming season.

Not only have all these players been retained but The Eagles have been busy behind the scenes securing a number of new signings. The first of which, a man who needs no introduction at the Eyrie – Connor Tomlinson has re-signed for the club following time with Corby Town.

Sam Brown was the next to be announced as the left-sided defender penned a deal with the club after spending a season with St Albans City, a superb signing. The Eagles also announced the signing of striker Dejon Noel-Williams who is a Grenada international with plenty of great experience at this level, another top signing.

Josh Flanagan was the next to sign a deal with the club as a right sided defender coming off the back of a great season at step 3. The next signing to be announced was Ben Baker from Waltham Abbey. Baker was instrumental in Waltham Abbey’s run to the playoff final against the Eagles and will now represent Bedford for the coming season.

Gucci Soulya-Osekanongo was the next to sign for the club. He is a midfielder with bags of potential and has had previous experience with Sutton United and Welwyn Garden City. Goalkeeper Ollie Bosworth was next to sign to continue the construction on Lee Bircham’s new side.

Defender the Eagles know all about Max Rosner was next to sign for the club. Rosner joins from AFC Dunstable after a very successful season, including some great performances against Bedford. Rico Greco also joins from AFC Dunstable and is an exciting left sided player.

These are all the players to come in but congratulations are in order to Liam Dulson who has signed for League Two side Cheltenham Town! Massive congrats to Liam, thoroughly deserved. Also, club captain from last season Alex Collard has joined St Ives Town. Thanks for all your service to both players!
