The Eagles face off against Taunton Town in the final pre-season friendly for the Eagles as Lee Bircham’s side prepare for their first game back at step three away to Spalding United.

Bedford have had a good pre-season so far and have picked up some good results. The Eagles have beaten Beaconsfield Town 0-5 and Newport Pagnell Town 1-9 and show no signs of fear, especially in front of goal.

The Eagles have also beaten QPR U21, Harpenden Town, Leverstock Green and Thame United in pre-season. Not only this but the performances are looking very strong and promising.

There have been some very good and positive moments from Bedford which are a testament to how well prepared the players have been for the season ahead.

The opposition for this game, Taunton Town, will also be playing in step three this season as they are in the Southern League Premier Division South.

Last season, Taunton were relegated from the National League South despite being just four points off of safety. The Peacocks will no doubt be looking to bounce back this season.
