Eagles hope to unlock Hednesford at Keys Park!
The Eagles travel to Hednesford to play the fifth game of the season so far. Gary Setchell will want his team to bounce back this weekend after a poor 1-8 loss at home against Tamworth.
Bedford Town have had a decent start to the season. Joe Butterworth got off the mark for Bedford against Tamworth after scoring a consolation goal in the last minute.
The Eagles have played two away games so far this season, the first was a 1-1 draw with Stratford Town and the other was a 3-1 loss against Kings Langley. The Bedford Town goals were scored by Will Summerfield and Hugh Alban Jones.
Three players have played every minute of the season so far. Alex Street, Hugh Alban Jones and Tyrone Lewthwaite have not missed a minute of the action yet. Interestingly, they have all provided either a goal or an assist this season.
Kai Phelan will be unavailable for this fixture as he will serve his suspension for his two yellow cards against Kings Langley. Phelan will be unavailable for five games.
Tyrone Lewthwaite, Connor Tomlinson and Liam Brooks have linked well so far this season as the front three has performed. Liam Brooks has been playing in the number ten position. Connor Tomlinson and Tyrone Lewthwaite have both scored goals this season with Liam Brooks hoping to score his first of the season.
Hednesford Town have started the season poorly and are still without a win. They lost on the opening day 1-0 against Redditch United, they drew 1-1 with Mickleover Sports and also drew 0-0 with Stourbridge. In their most recent game, they lost 1-0 against Stratford Town.
They have only conceded three goals this season which proves that their defence is strong. The worry for Hednesford is that they have only scored one goal all season.
Hednesford will be eager to get their first win of the season to try and claw their way above the relegation spots. They will be backed by a few hundred fans at Keys Park.
Overall, this will be a tricky game for the Eagles who hope to get their second win of the season. There will be coach travel to Hednesford for those who are interested too!
