The Eagles face AFC Dunstable at the Eyrie in a huge match for Lee Bircham’s side against a strong Dunstable team. Last time out, Bedford drew 0-0 with Aylesbury United on the road.
Last Saturday, the Eagles travelled to The Meadow in Chesham to face Aylesbury United. Bedford pushed and pushed for a goal as the Aylesbury back line just wouldn’t breakdown meaning the match finished in a 0-0 draw.
Despite the result against Aylesbury, the Eagles expanded their lead at the top of the table to three points after North Leigh dropped points.
Bedford are the only unbeaten side left in the league at this stage. After eleven games, the Eagles have won eight and drawn three to continue a loss-free start to the campaign.
AFC Dunstable have also had a strong start to the season and currently sit in fourth place and occupy a play-off spot. Six wins from eleven games puts the Od’s on eighteen points.
Dunstable are one of the only remaining teams to have not drawn in the league yet. They sit alongside North Leigh and Hadley are also yet to draw.
Most recently, Dunstable beat high-flying Biggleswade Town 1-0 at Creasey Park in a massive win over local rivals. Dunstable now sit in a comfortable fourth place and one point ahead of sixth place.
