The Eagles drew 1-1 on the road away in Gloucestershire against Cirencester Town. Leon Lobjoit put Bedford ahead from the spot before an equaliser in the eightieth minutes meant the points were shared at the Corinium Stadium.
Bedford started the better of the two sides and had a good chance early on. Ryan Blake’s attempted chip on the goalkeeper rebounded to George Morrall but his shot was blocked.
The rest of the first half was more even as Cirencester were fighting to get into the game. They had some good chances through Felix Miles and Reegan Messenger, but neither could convert so the score was level at the break.
The second half started, and the Eagles were dominating, and you could sense something brewing. Fernando Bell-Toxtle came on at half-time and was having an impact on the game.
Ten minutes into the second half, Bedford won a penalty after Leon Lobjoit was brought down in the box. Lobjoit stepped up and scored to put the Eagles ahead.
Cirencester had a good chance to draw level shortly after, but Mark Smith made a great save to deny this. They hit the crossbar soon afterwards after a good effort and they were really pressing.
With ten minutes to go, the Centurions were level after a goal from Luca Robinson. Robinson received it on the edge of the box and fired home to make it 1-1.
A closely contested game which ultimately ended in a draw. The Eagles have local rivals Kempston Rovers up next and will want to right the wrongs of last time out against the walnuts.
