The Eagles kick off their campaign back in the Southern League Premier Division Central with a tough opening match away to Spalding United. It’s all set to be a cracking first game back at step three.

The Eagles have had a good pre-season and have picked up some great results but more importantly put in good performances against tough opposition. Lee Bircham’s side have been free scoring and enjoyable to watch.

Last season, Bedford got off to a relentless start to the season and the team will be looking to start this season strongly too. Naturally, this will be much tougher to do in the higher league, but Bedford will be wanting to settle.

Bedford will also be looking to continue their strong pre-season form into this game. The Eagles have built a strong squad in pre-season and the team is now shaping up nicely.

Spalding also come up to step three from step four following winning the Northern Premier League Midlands title last season after a superb year.

The Tulips beat Anstey Nomads to the title by one singular point as they amassed an impressive eighty-nine points. They will be looking to kick on again this season with another good year.

Spalding have a very good squad for the level and have had a good pre-season so this game is all set up to be a cracker!
