The Eagles are back in league action as Lee Bircham’s side face off against Royston Town. Bedford are looking to get some points on the board and expand upon Saturday’s performance against Spalding United.
On Saturday the Eagles kicked off their league campaign away at Spalding United. Despite a decent performance, Spalding came away as winners after a 1-0 victory.
The first half performance wasn’t quite what Bedford had hoped but the second half performance was much improved, and the Eagles were unlucky not to score.
It turned out to be one of those days for the Eagles as the ball just wouldn’t go in the net. There were chances for lots of Bedford players, but it just wasn’t happening.
Royston opened their account for the season with a 3-2 win against Barwell. It was a good performance from the crows as they managed to hold on for the win.
The Crows three goals were scored by Edward Asafu-Adjaye, Ben Weyman and Oluwakoyejo Dawodu. The goal scored by Asafu-Adjaye was also a goal of the season contender from the halfway line.
