2 GAMES 2 WINS!!!

Game one
So called UN defeated champions( how we lose to them in granny last year) LIONS

Set out from the geck go, we had it set up nicely in the BACKLINE Butters lRamadan Mo, lenny, wallsy,Small Mick . The lions didn't get a sniff!!! Muris did get the upper hand on wallsy but after 2 mins he wasn't seen. Small Gibbo put in the hits and was thorn to the lions, underestimated footy player and was solid all day.The other blokes on the lions don't even know there names did fuck all somehow they are on a plane to Aus but it must be for a holiday not for footy.
Midfield, Davy, M&S ( miller and skinner and Benny Mc in the ruck It's was the club stalwart Davy Mc who turned on the Booster from start to finish. Skinner without a second taught Best on Ground!!! He was everywhere and the trusted side kick flash they where unstoppable together. M&S where everywhere and covered every blade of grass.
Forward line
Zac, mik, hickey brogey
2 highlights here, zac kicking and splitting and set shot between the posts was a huge personal highlight for him and his team mates. Second and most importantly was the FUCKING FORWARD PRESSURE which won us the game. All the lads played there part but especially the forward line. Hickey rolled back the years with a vintage display and the Tackle and BALL on the so called best defender in the comp really Boosted Us all after seeing a 40 year old fat bloke with no hamstrings kicking goals and putting in the tackles. Brogey the younger of the 2 I believe put it in from start to finish and forward pressure again made iork. And Mik ( off the drink for the week) his engine was fuel to the tank and left it on oval.

Game 2

Slack!!! We left the tank out against the lions and only 2 players on exchange on a warm day had its effects

Match 2 – Redbacks v Magpies

After knocking the Lions off their perch in Match 1, the Redbacks entered this game brimming with confidence. However with humidity and exhaustion effecting the players in the first quarter the game struggled to ignite with plenty of behinds for both teams, too much for Daveys liking. Eventually we took a stranglehold of a weakening magpies team and went into half time with a narrow lead. Notable first half moments included Brogie outpacing three of the magpies defence, skinner passing to miller time after time or was it miller to flash????? Anyway those guys dominated and are clearly seperated at birth. In the second half we were able to witness the full effect of ‘Gerard Squared’ as Lenihan remarkably managed to stay on the field for a full quarter of footy, combined with walls continuing to dominate, covering every blade of grass, just like scabies on a babies arse. The ozzie contingent really stepped up to the mark with Zac taking chest marks for fun, Mik throwing down tackles like no mans business and Nik picking crumbs like they were fag butts on the limelight dancefloor! Poor mitch is still to register a goal but nobody cannot fault his effort, as usual he was full of endeavour and perhaps a visit to the local prozzy may build his confidence! With McDevitt tiring in the second half, McElhone stepped into ruck for the 2nd half. This freed up McDevitt, but to no real effect. McElhone continued to sell candy to the Magpie defence as we put the foot on the gas in the final quarter with Zac, Skinner, Hickey, Brogie all leading with authority. Mo continued to improve and played with great intensity, showing no manners to the magpies. Brendan Kelly, human glue was able to get back on the field for this game and nullify the attacking threat of the magpies only real threat, Shaun Murphy (most irish name ever). In the end it was an easy enough win for the redbacks in a game that teetered out towards the end. We move on to the next round In Belfast still hopeful of finishing top of the ladder.
