After the mid-week success in the FA Vase agianst Clifton, Belper United return the Silver X Stadium for the second time this week, this time to face West Bridgeford in the East Midlands Counties League.
Our visitors have struggled to get going so far and are hungry to gain their first points of the season when they face Belper on Saturday. Manager Macca Collins has expressed that no result is certain at this level:
"The league will tell that West Bridgeford have had a difficult start to their season. With that in mind we will and have to show them respect but go about our business too. No result is certain at this level and we have to come with right application and mentally.
I'm pleased that we've managed to score 7 goals in two games. That's something that we've spoken a lot about with the group over the last 2 weeks. Keeping a clean sheet is also vital for us. I was also pleased with the group's application as we changed the system over the last few games and they have shown us they can cope with flexibility and change.
As always, we're looking forward to Saturday in what will be our first league home game of the season. Hopefully we can get the same level of support as we did on Tuesday evening as it was great to see so many down there supporting Belper United."
