Belper squad got another opportunity last night to gain more minutes on the pitch, this time playing against Shardlow St James. Fixture that was meant to be played 2 weeks ago, Belper gave new signing Sam Vickers a start and GK Mark Rathbone after returning from holiday.

Four goals in the first half from James Rushby saw Belper go into half time with a 4-0 lead. Again, the management team made several changes at HT with Ben Gowing, Ryan Baker, Niall Mather, Matt Adcock, Kyle Hudson and Ben Rushby all come on for the next 45 minutes.

Second half goals from Ben Gowing (3), Ryan Baker (1), James Rushby (1) and Sam Vickers (1) made the final score 10-0.

Credit to Shardlow as then never gave up, energetic group that kept trying play and push Belper all the way.

At the end Manager Macca Collins said:

"I thought it was another good run out for the whole squad tonight. Main objective tonight was again giving the players plenty of time on the pitch. I was also pleased to see certain players have a good run out, such as Jimmy, Vickers and Rathbone as they've had some time away with holiday and work"
