The Comrades are delighted to announce the formation of The Berkhamsted FC Supporters’ Association, a new group that will bring the club and its fans closer together, and give a say on club matters to the people who matter most.

The group’s guiding principle is that Berkhamsted FC is a community club for everyone, and is dedicated to deepening the club’s links with the town, ensuring its sustainable growth, and serving as a voice for all fans. The full mission statement is available to read at the end of this article.

Club Chairman, Steve Davis, says of the association:

"We’ve been hoping to get this sort of thing of the ground for a long time, and with lots of discussions and involvement from some key individuals I can honestly say I’m overjoyed with it. As chairman and life long supporter this has my full backing and I shall become a founder member of the group. I look forward to building a solid relationship and listening to the fans the ones we do this for. Exciting times ahead."

What does membership mean?

Membership of The Berkhamsted FC Supporters' Association gives all fans the ability to back the club, and have their say in how it is run. There are two levels on offer to members:

Founder Member

Founder membership is offered for a limited time only, ending on 31 July 2024. Founders will be invited to have their voices heard at twice yearly meetings, where they can vote on changes and initiatives at the club. They will also be entitled to 10% off club merchandise and at the bar, and a plaque at the ground to recognise their involvement in establishing the association. Founder membership comes with a season ticket included.

Standard Member

Standard members are also welcome at association meetings to cast their vote. They also receive one free matchday ticket per season, and 10% off club merchandise. Standard membership levels are on offer for individuals, families and corporates, alongside concession and youth rates.

All membership includes preferential rates on hire of the clubhouse and bar at the Glencar Community Stadium.

All funds raised through membership sales and fundraising events will be utilised by the supporters association to enhance club awareness, host events, and improve the match day experience.

Who runs the Berkhamsted FC Supporters’ Association?

The association is run independently from the board and club, while retaining close links with both. Currently the association is run by four long time Comrades fans, Colin Ivey, Jamie Fewery, Michael Hall and Andrew Marrs. It is an unincorporated body, run in accordance with Football Supporters’ Association best practice and guidance.

How much is it to join?

Prices for membership are set at:

Founder Member:
£250 (includes season ticket, normally priced at £190)

Standard Member:

£15 Adult
£10 OAP and Students
£5 Youth
£30 Family (two adults and two kids)
£50 Corporate

Upon joining you’ll receive a member pack, including printed versions of the constitution and mission statement, access to the Supporters’ Association area on the club site, details of upcoming meetings and your matchday ticket voucher or season ticket.
