The interview will be of interest to all Comrades supporters and can be found via the podcast link below, starting at around 4 minutes 30 seconds in and lasting for around 11 minutes.
Subjects covered include:
- The success of the team this season in being in contention for the play-offs in the first season following promotion despite having a low budget to work with. The success of the Under 15s and Under 16s in reaching their respective Herts FA county cup finals is also mentioned.
- Appreciation of the related help from the team managers and volunteers on the non-playing side who contribute 80 hours of work for every home game. (The interviewer notes that the Berkhamsted FC boardroom still serves tea in china mugs, a rarity these days apparently!).
- The history of the club in this centenary year, including mentions of former players Frank Broome and Maurice Cook who went on to successes in the professional game (including Frank Broome playing for England).
- The future of Broadwater and confirmation that a successful ground grading has just been completed.
- Information about the 6 a side/Fun Day on 25 August.
