This Saturday's visitors to the Sports Ground are Wantage Town from Oxfordshire. Like ourselves Wantage are looking for their first points of the season after losing 3-0 at home to Paulton Rovers and 4-1 away to North Leigh. Last season "The Alfredians" (or "Freds") narrowly avoided relegation finishing 20th in Division One South & West and will be once again looking to maintain their status in the division with the goal of becoming an established side at this level.

After being unfortunate to come away from Mangotsfield United pointless, Bideford can have no complaints after being soundly beaten by Tiverton Town on Monday night. "I think we got used to getting beaten last year and they are bringing it into this league" Sean Joyce told the North Devon Journal. "We have to be confident, go out and express ourselves - go to play and enjoy it." Bideford will be hoping a win on Saturday against Wantage will kick start their season and give the players a much needed boost in morale.
