A Brief History of Kidlington FC
Formed back in 1909 Kidlington played local level football before joining the Oxfordshire Senior League in 1951. After winning the league title in 1952/53 The Greens elected to join the Hellenic League in 1954 which became the Premier Division in 1956. They were relegated to Division One at the end of the 1961/62 season but were promoted back as runners-up in 1963/64. Kidlington returned to Division One in 1966 and would remain there (with the exception of a three year return to the Premier from 1979-1982) until 2005. They played in the Premier Division for the next eleven seasons becoming champions in 2015/16. The Greens were promoted to Southern League Division One Central where they finished in 12th position before transferring across to the West Division for the 2017/18 season.

Form Guide
Kidlington have had a very up and down season and are currently 13th in the West Division (W13 D10 L13). Like Bideford, they have been one of the worst hit by postponements due to the weather which has not helped their cause. Their last six results kid of illustrates the season they’ve had with narrow losses to Taunton and Salisbury, and a 3-0 home loss to Evesham being followed by a 5-0 thrashing of North Leigh.
Kidlington’s last six (LWWLWL)
14/04/18 Kidlington 0 Salisbury 1 (League)
12/04/18 North Leigh 0 Kidlington 5 (League)
10/04/18 Kidlington 0 Evesham United 3 (League)
07/04/18 Paulton Rovers 0 Kidlington 1 (League)
04/04/18 Banbury United 2 Kidlington 3 (Oxfordshire Cup SF)
31/03/18 Taunton Town 3 Kidlington 2 (League)
After two wins on the bounce over Larkhall and Paulton, Bideford now have six games remaining but only 13 days in which to play them. If The Robins are to reach the playoffs their winning run really needs to continue tonight at Kidlington which is a tricky assignment especially considering the amount travelling involved on a Monday night. Bideford are 10th in the West Division (W13 D9 L10), six points off the playoffs with two or three games in hand.
