Biggleswade Town made a dream start at Crown Meadow, with Izekor scoring in the fourth minute to stun the home crowd. Lowestoft quickly regrouped, equalizing in the 14th minute. Just five minutes later, the hosts were awarded a penalty, which they calmly converted to take a 2–1 lead into the break.
The second half saw Biggleswade take control, piling pressure on the Lowestoft defence. Their efforts were rewarded when Izekor struck again to bring the scores level.
The final 15 minutes were packed with drama, as the Waders relentlessly pushed for a winner. Lowestoft’s defence, however, stood strong, making a series of crucial blocks to deny the visitors. Controversy erupted in the 76th minute when Cyrus thought he had put Biggleswade ahead, only for the goal to be disallowed for offside. Video footage later showed two Lowestoft defenders playing Cyrus a yard onside, leaving the Waders aggrieved.
In the end, an entertaining and hard-fought contest ended 2–2, with both sides settling for a share of the points.
