We welcomed Evesham to Kayte Lane and with the Men’s first team training on the 3G we played on the bottom pitch.. the Long grass and uneven ground made it difficult for both teams to play much good football.

It was tricky but Cleeve had a couple of early opportunities but the Evesham keeper made a couple a good saves. Cleeve fell behind when they conceeded a penalty. Cleeve fell two behind before In the third third we got our reward with a goal from Kate Mills. 1-2 . Evesham scored a third from a well headed goal from a corner. 3-1. Cleeve pulled another goal back with 3 mins to go but were unable to complete the comeback.

A fairly even game with both team having chances and both goalkeepers making good saves.

So for the fourth time we have failed to beat the Evesham Ladies!

It was another good run out for 9 of last years U16s ….lessons to be learned….take your opportunities otherwise you are likely to be punished…
