How can I get my child to play for the adult teams at Blackheath?

Blackheath Cricket Club are committed to developing young cricketers and helping them to fulfil their potential in the game.

We have a proud history of bringing talented youngsters through our junior section, integrating them into adult cricket, and enabling the most able youngsters to compete at the highest levels of club cricket in the UK. Our club captain, Charlie Speller, has gone through this exact process, as have other members of the club 1st XI.

However, we recognise that the initial step from junior cricket into adult games can be daunting for young players and their parents. As well as representing a step up in playing standard and time commitment for the player, you may have a lot of questions as a parent.

For that reason, we have drafted an FAQ for parents of junior players, setting out how to enable your child to start playing adult cricket at Blackheath, and explaining what to expect. That FAQ is attached to this article.

If you have further questions after reading the FAQ, please contact Pete Deal (Membership Secretary), Vic Kandampully (Chairman), or Chris Willetts (Blackheath Juniors).
