Blackpool FC Ladies striker Lily Hambly believes the Seasiders have accomplished several fantastic achievements to date and feels the atmosphere in the squad is very positive.  

"We have already accomplished some fantastic achievements this season which we are all proud of. One of those is playing at Bloomfield Road in front of 700+ spectators, when we put in a spectacular performance to beat Bolton Wanderers 8-0. It was an amazing experience for us to showcase our talent."

"Last month we won the Lancashire Challenge Cup which was another vital point of the season. Since I joined the Ladies’ team in 2015, we have not been close to reaching a final let alone winning the cup. It is another huge step for the Ladies’ team" Hambly explained.  

"The atmosphere in the squad is really positive at the minute, and heading into our last few matches we are hoping to continue our good run in the league and get all three points in every game."

With the Seasiders chasing promotion this season, Hambly believes the team are more than ready to fight for promotion.  

"As a team, we are taking one game at a time and classing each game as the most important game of the season. We need to stay focused on each game and every player is ready to give their all in our upcoming matches. We have some tough games left to play but the ladies are more than ready to fight for promotion."
