Cook (Part-Time)
We are looking for someone to co-ordinate the catering at the weekends. This includes preparing pre match teas and coffees and snacks and post-match / training food, keeping the kitchen in clean and good order, and ensuring basic stock items are maintained as agreed with the club’s facilities manager.
What are the hours?
Three to four hours on a Sunday from 9:30am. Other hours may be available on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon for the senior men’s and women’s if you’re interested in helping there also.
Essential for this role
• Basic cookery skills.
• Good communication skills.
• High standard of hygiene - appropriate certificates will be required. This can be supported by the club
• A patient and empathetic nature.
• Non-judgemental behaviour.
• A willingness to engage with players and other volunteers.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Main responsibilities:
• To prepare food for the minis and junior teams playing at the club.
• Serving snacks and hot drinks.
• Cash handling.
• To wash-up and clean as required.
• To comply with Food Safety Regulations.
• To comply with stock rotation.
• To ensure good kitchen hygiene standards are maintained at all times and carry out cleaning as requested.
• To comply with Health and Safety in line with Bletchley Ruby Club’s protocols and raise any concerns to the Facilities manager.
