Its now only a few days from the start of the new season as the Beavers first team begins its first campaign outside the top flight of the Anglian Combination for nearly 40 years.

As previously mentioned, the club have decided to hold a fund-raising day, with proceeds going to the local MND charity, who were so supportive to the family during Paddy’s immense fight against this dreadful disease.

The teams will also be playing for the ‘Paddy Murphy Memorial’ Trophy which will be played for annually around this time every year.

There will be a BBQ , with the both the burgers and sausages being supplied by our sponsor, the Blofield Farm Shop. Burgers will be priced at £4, Hot Dogs £3.

The club have been overwhelmed with the generosity of local businesses and past players and managers connected with the club. Such is the value of some of the items, that the club have decided to auction some of them.

Raffle tickets are available on the day. The price will be £2 for a strip or 3 strips for £5. Can we please ask you try to remember to bring some cash, although a card machine will be made available if not.

The weather is looking good so we hope to see a few of you there, supporting both local grassroots football and a very worthwhile charity.
