In an inspirational Facebook statement, the hugely popular centre half stated his desire to tackle the illness head on and he has responded with positive thoughts and action. The club is determined to support him and his family in every way they can.

His friends and family have set up 'The Battle Fund' on a dedicated Facebook page. You can join Tom's Army and add your messages of support on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/thebattlefund

Details will be added over the next few days on how you can contribute to help support Tom's treatment.

The page will also give details of all the events and fund raising activities that will be going on. Everything Boldmere St Michaels do will also be detailed on this website, but there's plenty more going on throughout Tom's wide circle of friends and family.

The Boldmere playing squad aren't doing Movember, the lads are doing Tache4Tom instead!

Whilst not looking for sponsorship, each member of the playing and management staff will show their support for Tom by starting November clean shaven and seeing who can grow the best moustache.
