Boldon CA v FC Hartlepool

Boldon CA return to league action on Tuesday evening when they host FC Hartlepool in the Northern League. The game was due to be played on Friday gone but was postponed due to our visitors being in action on the Saturday in the FA Vase.

Our Opponents

FC Hartlepool come into the game on the back of two league wins and a cup victory. A 4-1 win away at Grangetown BC and a 4-0 home win over Washington was followed up with a 4-2 win away at Ryton in the Durham Challenge Cup.

On Saturday their FA Vase run came to an end with a narrow 1-0 loss away to Ashton Town in the 2nd round.

The side currently sit in 10th place in the league winning 10 of their 21 league games played with 32 points.

THE VILLA

Boldon CA are currently sat 19th on the table on 16 points.

Whilst on a 3 game losing streak all 3 games have been settled by just a single goal with 2-1 defeats at home to both Sunderland West End and Chester Le Street United before last time out losing by a 1-0 scoreline away to Thornaby.

LAST MEETING

The two sides have already met this season at the Grayfields Enclosure on the 30th July with the game ending with a 0-0 scoreline.

The Villa will be hoping for some good support at the Welfare Ground as they look to improve on their recent performances and move further up the league table and will have a few players returning from injuries to bolster the squad.

Kick off on Tuesday evening is 7:30pm with admission £5 Adults £3 Concessions with under 16's free with an accompanying adult.
