We’re back at home this weekend as Edinburgh Caledonia are the visitors to Poltonhall. We come into this one after an impressive 4-0 win away to Dunipace thanks to goals from Jen, Kaz, Bex and Dani. Caley will be looking to bounce back after a 6-1 defeat at home to Armadale Thistle.
Caley won the first ever meeting between the sides 3-0 in November last year at Meadowbank but we bounced back in the return fixture at Poltonhall with a 3-0 win of our own before also winning the final meeting at Meadowbank 3-2.
There’s been a lot of change at the Capital club over the summer with a rebuild required after the departures of some key players including trio Natalie Brown, Amanda Nicholson and Jane McRae who all made the move to Championship side Falkirk. Among the new signings for Caley is Alexis Curry, a familiar face to Rose fans, Alexis spent six years at Bonnyrigg before making the move to Meadowbank in the summer.
After a flying start last campaign which saw Caley lead the way for a number of weeks, it’s been a more difficult start this time around as their new squad continues to gel. Caley currently sit 7th with 7 points from 7 games. We moved up to 3rd after last weekends win, level on points with Armadale in 2nd and 3 points behind leaders St Mirren who have played a game more.
