On January 9 1863, the first match ever played under Football Association rules was played at Battersea Park, London. This spiritual home of football was where Battersea Park Rangers was founded by a group of 14 year-old school friends who simply wanted to play and do something they loved together.

After training for one-year on the playing fields of the park, our club was formed in 1999. Season upon season, BPR progressed through the youth team ranks all the way to senior men’s football. The club went from strength to strength adding to its ranks players from across Wandsworth and beyond. Hard fought victories and multiple successful cup campaigns followed including winning the Graham Rodber Premier Division in the Southern Sunday Football League in 2018, the largest and best Sunday amateur football league in South London.

Now known as the BPR Football Club, it gives young people a platform to partake in grassroots sports, irrespective of background, whilst creating an environment to develop positive relationships and improve their own physical and mental wellbeing.

The Foundation consists of three youth teams, the under-18s, under-15s and under-14s. Running this community relies on the support of donations to subsidise tracksuits, kit, weekly training facilities and pitches. We financially support ~20% of the 40 registered young players too. Our management staff and trustees are all volunteers.
