Branton Juniors was formed back in the summer of 1988, at that time called ‘Branton and RAF Finningley Junior Football Club’. It was formed by Phil Man and he was soon joined by Gary Burns and Roger Griggs, all having boys eager to play in an organised team. Soon there were enough players, and two teams were entered at U10 and U11 in the Doncaster and District Boys Sunday League. Branton played all there home matches at Kilham Lane and the fledgling club also ran a nursery group of 9’s and under on Saturday mornings. Over the coming years the popularity in the club grew, forcing the club to move to a new home within RAF Finningley. However by 1994 the clubs had grown into one of the largest Junior clubs in the area and another moved beckoned, moving to our current location at Hayfield School.
Today the club now has teams ranging from U7’s through to U16’s amounting to some 180 players.
