Radnor Cup Quarter Final - Brecon Corries 5-0 Brecon Northcote (Weds 16th Oct)
The Corries welcomed Brecon Northcote to the Rich Field in the first ever fixture between the two neighbouring teams.
In front of the biggest crowd seen at the Rich Field in many years, it was the home team that dominated the game in every department, visibly tactically and technically superior to their Watton neighbours. Joel Evans opened the scoring after 16 minutes, and then doubled his tally 5 minutes later to give the Corries an early 2-0 lead. Some decent goalkeeping from Northcote keeper, Aaeron Evans, kept the score at 2-0 going into the halftime break.
Immediately after the restart, Craig Evans made it 3-0, effectively wrapping up the cup tie. There was no way back for the visitors, and their fate was sealed when Joel Evans completed his hat-trick and Nathan Collacott added a fifth with 10 minutes to go.
The Corries now enter the semi final draw with Llanidloes, Llandrindod and Penybont.
