Brigg’s trip to Bolsover means an awful lot. The club have described it as their cup final. If Brigg win they’ll leapfrog Bolsover and move out of the drop zone. If Bolsover win they’ll be five points above Brigg. That’s why it’s such a big match for both sides. A draw won’t be sufficient so winning is important.

Hopefully Brigg can build on their 2-2 draw with Rossington Main. The character shown to comeback from 2-0 down was good. So was Brigg’s work rate and attacking play. One point wasn’t bad then, but three points are essential at Bolsover. Last week a draw felt like a point gained. This time it would be two points dropped.

Every player wants to play in these kinds of matches. Unfortunately not all of them are able to. Owen Fletcher and Cameron Houson are out of the squad. Players like Will Forrest, Chris Rodgers and Chris Short still haven’t returned. On a higher note, Jake Crossland and Cameron Hill are back. New signing Ash Walden is available too.

Although Bolsover have lost their last nine, they’re capable of winning. Form goes out the window in games like this. Bolsover are due for luck and will be up for the challenge. They won the reverse fixture 2-1 and it was a close encounter. They’ll believe they can win again at their place. Brigg need to play well in order to stop them.
