Brigg Town will visit table toppers Pontefract Collieries on Tuesday. Anthony Bowsley is ready for a very challenging match.
“This will certainly be one of if not the hardest match of our season. I’m sure we can do much better than we did when Pontefract beat us 6-1 in October.
“On Saturday we put in a dominant performance and were unlucky to draw. Dronfield were happy to settle for a point, but Pontefract will be playing for the win so it will be a more open game.
“Pontefract are top and their last result was 4-0 versus Hall Road Rangers. Hall Road are very good and if Pontefract can beat them that heavily it says a lot about them.
“They’re dangerous going forward and score a lot so we’ll need to defend well. We’ll also need to keep eleven on the pitch – we’ve had ten reds this season and it’s got ridiculous now!
“Jake Thompson will be missing and that’s a shame as he’s a useful player. However, I believe the rest of the squad are all available.
“It will be difficult for us to win - not impossible though. We won at Emley when they were top which proves we can get results against the high fliers.
“We’ll give it our best shot and see what happens.”
