Wednesday night's friendly is at home to Grimsby Borough. Brigg Town's last result was a 3-2 defeat at Hykeham Town. After going 3-0 down Brigg never gave up and scored twice. The first 70 minutes could have gone better, but the last 20 minutes were fantastic! Hopefully, Brigg will pick up where they left off in that match.
Brigg's squad will be noticeably different. Cameron Hill, Jason Pembleton, Stu Longbone, Tom Pearson and Will Forrest are back. Also, one or two players will be called up from the reserves. However, Adam Gowing, Alex Nichols, Ethan Gale, Jack Tierney and Jamie Osbourne are unavailable. All players will keep getting minutes under their belt. Gaining match fitness is the main thing in pre-season.
Grimsby Borough are a great side from a higher league. Brigg will have a very difficult game so they can't afford to play badly. Brigg's recent performances have been promising in spells. However, weak periods of play have proved costly. Good football is required for 90 minutes this time. Anything less won't be enough against Grimsby Borough.
The Zebras will be ready for action!
