Just a quick note to say how pleased I am with our player’s attitude towards the pre-season events so far. As some of you will already know, I expect this to continue and for players to take some of the work away with them as ‘homework’. With regards to fitness we have looked OK in games so far this season, but I want players to take a more personal tack. Fitness plays a major part of winning in the modern day game and I want us to strive towards becoming the hardest working team in this league.

We have added to the quality of our side with the players that have joined us this season, all shirts will be up for grabs in the next couple of weeks. It is up to you as individuals to make a claim on your shirt for the opening game on 8th August.

There has been a great response to the U19's and from what I have seen; some of the players are of real quality. I am hoping some of them will be pushing for a 1st team shirt in the coming months. Having Simon and Rick to push them hard technically and physically they will be a real asset to bring to the mix. Good luck to them this season.

To all - keep up the good start, it will be demanding and frustrating at times but we will meet it head on together and take this club forward at every level.
