Entrepreneur, former Ipswich Town footballer aka Barney Rubble.

1. Place of Birth. Nuneaton the " Bethlehem" of The Midlands.

2. Day job. Investor but now retired living on Sydney's Northern Beaches.

3. Previous cricket Clubs. Just The Crescent.

4. Who introduced you to The Crescent ? Simon Wood.

5. Year of Crescent debut. Around 1985. I needed to borrow kit from my "kitman" Simon Wood. I achieved very little on the day although I do recall throwing at the stumps from sideways on and being more surprised than anyone that a direct hit achieved a run out !

6. Favourite all-time Crescent players. Richard Ford who was one of the best leaders I have ever met and Simon Wood.

7. Favourite ground to play at. Aston Ingham. Finally a place where I bowled for the first and nearly only time. Simon Wood knows the stats ( 5-1-19-1 )

8. Best Teas. Always good at The Crescent.

9. Most memorable games for The Crescent. Most memories of games are blurred by alcohol intake, especially on tour at Aston Ingham where the cider is quite nice/dangerous.

I have fond memories of my wife of 34 years attending a match at Horsdean. She was my girlfriend at the time and I was trying to impress. She commented " what lovely people, it was a shame that I travelled so far to watch you bat for just a few minutes".

10. Cricketing ambitions. A swansong appearance for the Crescent.

11. Sports followed outside of cricket. Rugby Union, Football ( the ladies game in Australia is compelling viewing), Aussie Rules and Rugby League.

12. Hobbies outside of sport. Walking and golf. Golf is not a sport the way I play it, just a good walk spoilt. Looking after 4 grandchildren, all girls. Clearing Palm Tree branches.

13. Seven Dials in Brighton ( now gone), The Crown at old Oxted in Surrey.

14. Favourite Sussex Restaurants. Wheelers in Brighton, The Grand Hotel Brighton for Sunday lunch and the Telscombe tavern.

15. Favourite films. All James Bond films, Water, Legend, Love and Mercy.

16. Best music concert ever seen. Elton John on his "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" tour at Coffs Harbour, Australia.

17. Favourite music artist. Mozart.

18. Best TV Programmes. Top Gear.

19. Person you would like to meet dead or alive. Nelson Mandella.
