Bromsgrove Sporting reached the final with a hard fought 4-2 win over Northfield Town, but boy oh boy did they have to work for it aginst a team 2 divisions below.
Sporting took the lead in the 28th when an unfortunate defender got the last touch. But to their credit Northfield grew into the game and scored in the 37th and 42nd minutes to take an unexpected lead.
The second half was generally played in the Northfield half, but just couldn't find a way through, even missing a penalty on the 30 minute mark of the half. Finally though a Luke Dugmore free kick in the 83rd. minute grabbed the equaliser, and 5 minutes later Sporting grabbed the lead when Liam Spink converted. With Northfield pushing for an equaliser, Sporting cleared from a corner, and Kyle Turner took the ball from inside his own half to convert unoppossed to score the fourth.
Sporting will now play local rivals Pilkington XXX in the final with the game to be played on Saturday 7th. May with a 3pm kick off.
