Captain Nicky goes first.....

First up in our featured profiles is our current captain Nicky Gaskell....

Nicky took over the Captaincy role last season when incumbent Jennifer Harris announced she was doing her bit to bolster Broughton’s youth policy plans for the future by falling pregnant.
Nicky was successfully re-elected to retain the Captain’s armband for the forthcoming campaign. Here's a wee bit about her:

How long have you played rugby? Roughly 6 years
Why did you start playing? I was looking for a sport to play and I loved rugby, so I thought I’d give it a bash.
What do you love most about Broughton? It has to be the camaraderie - not just within the team, but the club as a whole.
Odd fact about you? I was born with 12 fingers.
Any advice for those looking to join Broughton? Watch out for Wishingwell….but seriously, I’ve not met anyone yet who has regretted doing so.
Biggest rugby achievement to date? Winning the RBS Women’s Bowl 2013/14, being awarded Coach’s Player of the Season and my peers voting for me to Captain them this year.
