It is with a heavy heart that the club has to announce the resignation of its reserve team from the West Lancashire Football League (Reserve Division One).
Club Chairman Chris Clandon said, We are extremely saddened to have to announce that we have been left with no alternative but to fold our reserve team.
We had been searching for a manager for the team for some time and despite a couple of interested individuals no one would commit to taking on the team, this coupled with the fact that we only had 6 players from last seasons squad who were firmly committed to the new season left us in an impossible position with only one outcome.
Its not what any of the committee wanted but the last season was a very difficult one for the team and unfortunately it has run its course.
We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the reserves last season and wish them luck for the future.
