The very definition of a club legend. After a youth career at Southampton, Matt cruelly had his pro career at the Saints cut short and returned to Bristol to forge a phenomenal goalscoring career in the non-league scene. After short, goalscoring, spells at Weston-Super-Mare and Bitton, Matt signed for Oldland Abbotonians and scored a total of 150 goals in 155 games. After short spells at Yate and Mangotsfield, Matt signed for Cadbury Heath and is the club’s all time top scorer with an unbelievable 296 goals in 395 appearances. Matt’s scored 433 goals in 524 Western League appearances. Left the club and signed for Oldland in September 2020 but returned in June 2021 as Joint Player Manager for the 2021/22 season alongside David Doe and George Boon. Is Player Coach at The Heath for the 23/24 season.
