Today the real campaign begins as Callington Town first team begin their South West Peninsula League campaign with a tough trip to Priory Park to face Bodmin Town.

Town manager Matt Hayden will now set his team against one of the favourites for the title in the first of 38 games. He has been busy in the close season bringing in a talented squad and this will be a great test for the team.

For the second team, there is a week to go but they do also have a match today as Matt Frost’s side host an Ivybridge Development team at the Callington 3G with a 2pm kick off.
