Roche visited Roskear on Saturday and after winning the toss elected to bowl. On a slow & low wicket Camborne edged their way towards a good postion to be 88-2 around the halfway point after Kevin Roberts(37) & Simon Hosking added 67. Mark Trudgeon bowled a tight spell of 2-18 of 10 overs and with boundaries hard to come by Camborne ran well to push the innings total to 180-8. Hosking was out in the last over for a long 69. Spinner Will Skene took 2 late wickets.
In reply Roche made a bad start with Dan Hocking(1-22) & Sam Pooley(4-8) both bowling well to leave Roche at one stage on 11-5 from 13 overs. Spinner Adam Smith then bowled with good control(2-22) as Roche fought for runs to eventually be bowled out for 112. Neil Trudgeon top scored with 33.
Camborne took 19 points to close the gap to Wadebridge to 17 points and remain in 2nd with 3 games to go. Troon visit Roskear this Saturday for the local derby.
