Selectors are set to give another 4 players their South West 1 debuts in tomorrow's tough test against Bideford at the REC.
With Captain Steve Kenward unavailable Ben Stean will be hoping to make an immediate impact as he makes his first start for the club at Fly Half. Shane Woods picked up an injury against Weston last week, so his place on the wing goes to another SW 1 debutante former colt Harvey Jones, who showed up well in pre-season.
Tommy-Lee Southworth picked up an ankle knock playing for the Cornish Pirates PDF squad against Bath University on Wednesday so misses the match. His place goes Jay Tyack (pictured right) who is on temporary loan from the Pirates.
There are a couple of changes on the bench with player/coach Liam Chapple making a rare appearance and former Colt and Exeter Academy hooker/prop Luke Trewhella getting his senior call up.
Selectors always intended to give youth a chance to flourish this season especially with the amount of talented teenagers we have in the squad. This weekend several of these young men will get their chance to shine and with the backing of a vociferous crowd at the REC I'm confident we will see what they are capable of producing.
