Camborne travel to Clevedon at the weekend knowing that victory will take them to the top of South West 1 but the loss of two key players will make it a difficult task.
The Cherry & Whites have been dealt a double blow today with the loss of Fly Half Richie Kevern (virus) and prop forward Jay Tyack who has been recalled to the Cornish Pirates squad a after 2 month loan spell with the club. The team are already without Captain Steve Kenward (leg) so will have their work cut out at whats always a tough place to for them to go.
Selectors have kept faith with their young players naming a back division with an average age of just twenty. Ben Stean will take the 10 shirt which is his preferred position with Ben Jordan reverting to the centre role and Harvey Jones coming in to start on the wing. Cornwall Development prop Andrius Zacharovas takes Tyacks role in the front row and Tommy-Lee Southworth starts on the bench along with former colt Cameron Sayer.
Matches between these club are never dull affairs, we even had the posts blow down a couple of seasons ago, so you never know what's going to happen. The squad are looking sharp in training and after having a week off are eager to get back into action. There's no doubt that this team has both fitness and an abundance of pace and not just in the backs, which is who we are the leading points scorers in SW 1.
