Well the second half of the season begins with a trip to Devon where we take on a Bideford team who are on a good run of form at present with 4 wins from their last 5 South West 1 outings.
Camborne are aware this will be no easy task having tasted defeat on the last two visits to King Georges Field albeit controversially two season's ago with 3 disallowed tries and with a much weakened squad last season. The team which will take the field for Camborne this Saturday will bare no resemblance to the side who lost 35 - 24 last March with around a dozen changes to the squad.
Despite this Town know they will need an 80 minute performance against a team, who like our own have a youthful look about them. The home side will make the most of every opportunity and have a very good defence which has conceded only a handful of tries in their last half dozen games.
They also are well aware of the threat posed by our pack who racked up 6 of the 7 tries we scored against them at the REC in September. They have a young mobile back row and have moved a prop into the second row for more stability in the scrums.
On a flat pitch which apparently has held up well in the rain recently Camborne will be hoping their backs come up with the goods on Saturday. With the pace of Noah Sixton, Taron Peacock , Jack Simmons and new signing Alex Ducker in the lineup a decent pitch would be a big advantage and we will need to make the most of it.
