The Cherry & Whites will be hoping to complete their second double of the season when they face Avonmouth this weekend following last Saturday's narrow victory at Bideford.
Camborne came out 23 - 29 winners when the sides met in Bristol last September where they picked up 5 points outscoring their hosts by 5 tries to 2. Check out the match report; http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/cambornerfc/teams/24388/match-centre/1-1568807
The visitors have a useful record at home where they've defeated Bridgwater and Weston but have yet to taste victory on the road, but you can never rule out a team who 18 months ago were playing National League rugby.
With injuries both second row forwards Tony Whittle (shoulder) and Ben Kemp (hand) Camborne have acted swiftly this week to bring in former Redruth and Cornwall lock Damien Cook who signed from St Just. The 6'6" 19st forward will be a great addition to the squad and has National league experience should benefit the team during the second half of the season.
The is also a return to the lineup for prop John Drew who comes in for the unavailable Malcolm Hearn and Martin Woolcock comes off the bench to play in the second row. Ben Stean is another player who moves up from last weeks bench, hell start at fly half and Player/coach Liam Chapple comes in for Taron Peacock with Sean Oates and Sam Bartle coming as replacements.
