Derby Day in Devon for 'Town'
The Cornish Cherry & Whites take on the Devon All Whites in the South West Premier League this Saturday at Rackerhayes. Matches between the two teams tend to be high scoring, intense affairs so supporters at this game should be in for a treat.
The match throws up some interesting contests especially with the hosts boasting former Exeter Chiefs Matt Jess in their lineup. Jess, who is also an ex Cornish Pirate bagged an amazing 5 tries in their opening game, so will take some stopping. He will come up against two more former Pirates Rhodri Mcatee and Lewis Vinnicombe (making his SW Premier debut for Camborne) and with former Hartpury college flyer Alex Ducker also in the Cherry & Whites team there will be no lack of quality on the pitch.
Team News;
Selectors have made 3 changes to their back division bringing in National 2 experience with Lewis Vinnicombe (centre) and Connor Swan (full back) making their SW Premier league debuts for the club and Josh Semmens returning to the centre. Alex Ducker reverts to the wing from full back, Jordan Rose moves back into the pack and plays at flanker and Jake Champion (who picked up a knock last week) misses the game.
There's also a return to squad for Tommy Southworth who starts on the bench after missing the Maidenhead clash.
