Tonight's away match against Wirral neighbours Ashville has been postponed because of a waterlogged pitch

This evening's scheduled derby fixture away to Ashville in the NWCFL First Division South has been postponed because of a waterlogged pitch at the Ray Parker Stadium.

A new date will be arranged for the match in due course.

Tonight's fixture had itself been rescheduled from Boxing Day, when it was also rained off.

Ashville were promoted to the NWCFL in 2022 to create this Wirral derby, and had the edge in last season's encounters by completing a league double, although Lairds did knock them out of the Macron Cup.

The sides appear closely matched this term, with Lairds in 16th behind Ashville only on goal difference.

The meeting between the sides at the KRCT Ltd Stadium is scheduled for Easter Monday (April 1), kick-off at 3pm.
