Fantastic news, 8 Carlisle players were in the Cumbrian under 18 squad on Sunday 28th Oct, at West Park Leeds against Northumberland side, Cumbria wet down within the first 10mins with a well-structured 6 phase move in our 22, with quick ball out to the fly half, through the ranks to the wing which touched down in the corner, having missed the conversation.

It was then Cumbria had a line out close the tough line, with ball thrown in by Tom Percival, charged down through there line to scored by James Addyman, with Brett Cannons conversion seeing the Cambrians briefly in front. shortly after this, Northumberland scored two tries in quick session, thus trailing at half time 26 - 7 , the start the of the 2nd half.

Unfortunately sore the same as the 1st, two more tires, on conversions, see the Cambrians fall further behind to 38 - 7, Cumbria's forwards tried brilliantly to contain the middle of the park, with some really strong tackling, pushing up to make ground as Brett nudged it over for a line out again, close to the touch line, Jack Peet, hooker,to throw the ball where James Robson gathered the ball for a well-deserved try, Brett missing the conversion against a strong wind.

Although Cumbria's forwards fought gallantly through the game, Northumberland where just too strong in the back line, Final Score Northumberland 48 Cumbria 12.

Six teams took part at West Park Leeds where Co - Durham 20 v Cheshire 5 , Northumberland 48 v Cumbria 12 Yorkshire v Lancashire ( left at half time, the score it will be on the web site) , it was a part of the North of England trail ?

Albeit - A very young Cumbria Squad seeing 8 players for Carlisle, the future of the club in years to come looks exciting, everyone who has been, who are now involved with the youth set up, not only historically, and more importantly presently should be very proud to be associated with the club

Well done lads , keep up the good work
